Pineapple Sweet & Spicy Stir fry Sauce
1 cup + 1 tbsp Organic Pineapple Just Juice
1 tbsp arrowroot, cornstarch or rice flour
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper to taste (or omit if desired)
12 drops of a natural sweetener like NOW® Real Food Monk Fruit
(or 1 tbsp of honey or other liquid sweetener, taste to add more if needed)
Over medium heat in a small saucepan bring 1 cup of organic pineapple Just Juice to a light simmer stir frequently to prevent burning. Cook for about 5 mins.
Whisk together in a mixing bowl the remaining 1 Tbsp Organic Pineapple Just juice and the flour of your choice. Let this mixture settle for 2min.
Whisk this flour mixture into the simmering juice pan. Stir gently to mix it in. It should start to gel pretty quickly.
Add the remaining spices. Reduce the heat and continue to stir frequently, as it cools it will thicken. Use it right way for your stirfries or cool it before storing in the fridge.
